BACKGROUND - On our "Flute Journey" (which has "many roads", thank you Mary Youngblood,) every single day, we meet or hear about other people all of whom share information about events, places, facts, stories, new flutes, techniques, solutions to questions, and ideas. As Mary told us, the "Spirit of the Flute" came to us, and is leading us along the many roads of discovery. Loping Wolf is literally "LOPING" from moment to moment, covering as much ground as our chosen life paths will permit. Except for the "certitude of direction", we are reminded of Jack London's Call of the Wild:

"He broke into the long easy lope, and went on, hour after hour, never at loss for the tangled way, heading straight home through strange country with a certitude of direction that put man and his magnetic needle to shame."

Of course, our own personal metaphor reminds us MORE of the model railroad chase scene in "Wallace and Gromit's, The Wrong Trousers", where Gromit is slapping down the track pieces just ahead of himself, trying to keep up with the escaping penguin....

We are honored you arrived at this page on your journey. We are IN NO WAY the "destination", or ultimate source for information. We are more of a "variable sign post", attempting to point you in a direction guided by our limited experiences, which change by the day.

Lessons - Mary Youngblood is our own instructor of choice. The NCFC and Noisy Bear are two additional great sources for lessons in the greater Sacramento CA area.

Flute Circle Gatherings - We would be more than happy to have you join us at any or all of our gatherings. We meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday noons in downtown Sacramento in a rooftop park at 8th & O Streets.
