- Lower Eagle Falls - For our September Flute Circle, Loping Wolf will lope up to Lower Eagle Falls overlooking Emerald Bay at South Lake Tahoe. Meet at noon at Eagle Falls - bring a potluck picnic item, munchies, cameras, swimsuit, towels and of course "Flutes"!
- Loping Wolf attends "Crossing Cultures" Fair with Stan Padilla.

Flute Circle will give a concert inside Moaning Cavern in Vallecito
from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.Tickets are $19.95 for space on the
cavern floor and $12.50 for space at the top of Moaning Cavern's
100-foot spiral staircase. Tickets are limited to a total of 70.

- - Mary Youngblood and Northern California Flute Circle (NCFC) arrives,

(there are four tables in this area. If a lot of people are coming, some may want to bring chairs)
-Last opportunity to get in line for the rappel should be by 4:30 so they have time to come back up and get their instrument, unless someone carries it down for them, in which case they should be in line by 5:00
-Flute group starts down the stairs
-Customers start down

- 1-2 group flute

-Customers start out
-Loping Wolf/NCFC group has the cavern to themselves to play music. A guide will remain.
- Participation limited to flute & percussion musicians.
- Some musicians will go back up the stairs a little way for the concert, others will stand on the bottom platform. They are welcome to bring a cushion or small, compact chair.
- With the understanding that at least 20 people will do the rappel, the costs are:
-Rappels are only $29.00
-Musicians who walk down for the concert at 5:50 - no cost
-Anyone who is not a musician that comes for the concert,
will pay the ticket prices listed below.
- 50 spaces will be available for the bottom platform and 20 spaces on the top platform. Attendees will be allowed to bring a cushion or small, compact chair.
- Ticket rates: Bottom platform- $19.95 adults, $9.95 children,
Top platform - $12.50 adults, $6.25 children

- Saturday June 24 at 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Mary is the main event Saturday evening.
- Sunday June 25 at 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM - Mary will be performing once again.
10:00 AM – 11:00 Noon - "Chant" at the actual American River Confluence located at the bottom of the canyon off Hwy 49, just before you cross the bridge and head up toward Cool.

: The 15th Annual American River Confluence Festival was held Sunday June 11. Protect American River Canyons (http://www.parc-auburn.org/arcpark.html) sponsors the event and Stan Padilla does a wonderful job as the "Spiritual Host" (my title for him). It was held at the American River Overlook on Pacific Avenue in Auburn, California. Loping Wolf played the "Dance of the Firefly" in "A minor", as a "Call to Gather" and the "Zuni Sunrise" in "G minor", as Stan Padilla's introduction.
